There has been speculation for some time now that the stable release of Joomla! 1.5 would be coming any day now. Well today that speculation has at last come true! The core team has finally announced that Joomla! 1.5 is stable. This is quite a milestone in the life of Joomla! Congratulations to the core team for a job well done.

On a related note, people in the U.S. are waking up and discovering the news, and consequently the Joomla.org server is currently down. I guess I’ll just have to wait my turn to download the latest stable release.
