It uses Joomla's standard template override functionality, so you could easily customize it with your own HTML/CSS.

Cool. Thanks, Cory! Are you planning on putting templating flexibility in the banner similar to JoomlaWorks Front Page Slide Show? That level of interface flexibility with the video embedding feature would be stellar. I'll keep my eyes open for your banner extension.

Hi Steve,

The rotating banner is something that we built custom for the site. We're working on some improvements to make it available to the public. It wouldn't be very useful for other sites in its current state.

The staff page is also custom. We are using a Joomla component called K2 to manage all of the information (name, title, bio, and picture), and we built a custom K2 template for the layout styles.

Hi Cory,

I know that this is an older post, but I stumbled across it through a Google search. I'm a church media consultant who has been dabbling in the denomination's radio websites. I really like the site and some of the features you are using have eluded me. One is putting video in a rotating banner like you have on the homepage. Are there extensions you would recommend? Also, I really like the Staff page. How was that put together?

Thanks for being willing to help!

Hi Cory,
Your original template (pictured above) inspired us to move our site over to Joomla. It's been a learning (& painful) process however, and since people seem to be asking, I was wondering if I could get a copy of the old template as well?
Peace,
Sam

Hi Mike, which template do you want? The old one that's pictured above, or the one that is currently on the church's site?

If possible, I would also like a copy of your template.

Cory, I've just started to learn joomla and plan to redesign our church web site. You've done a great job on the template. Is it available? Do you online giving on your site?
