Is Inauguration Day in November?

Apparently Inauguration Day is in November, according to Senator Obama anyway. I just read an article at MSNBC.com about Friday’s debate, and Senator Obama was quoted as saying the following:
“This is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible for dealing with this mess.”
Last time I checked, Inauguration Day is on January 20th. Until then, which is approximately 118 days away, President Bush is still in charge, lame duck though he may be.
There is also another interesting point in Senator Obama’s statement, which is the notion that it is solely the president’s responsibility to deal with the financial crisis that is going on right now. I guess Congress has no responsibilty?
That's it. What Next?

Noticed this while watching the speech live. Of course, not a peep from the MSM commentators afterwards. “Gaffe? What gaffe?”

I agree with you on the idea that the president is solely responsible for, well, anything really. Presidents get far too much credit and take too much blame for things that happen.
Congress, greedy financial companies, and dumb mortgagees taking out loans they know they can’t afford makes a perfect financial storm. Time will tell about Obama.

Indeed. Time will tell.
